O Tannenbaum

Last week I shared pictures of the tree farm we go to for our Christmas tree. The next step is picking and cutting down the tree.

This is the tree.
Our Tree. It's beautifully full.
(Yes, we love our large triangle trees.)

So we start cutting...and cutting...and cutting. lol.

Where is the trunk?!? Yes, it was that thick that it was hard to find the trunk to hold on to while cutting to stop the hand saw from binding.

So we had to pull out straps from the truck to help pull it.

Finally! TIMBER!!!

How old is the tree? We always love to count the rings when we get our trees.

Next week I'll share decorations on the tree.

Christmas Tree Farm

Each year we go cut our Christmas tree down. We've been going to the same farm for about... 7 or 8 years now. Last year was the first year we had to go to another field to find the tree we like, I'll share pictures of our tree next week.

This week I want to share pictures of the tree farm and the view.

This was the beautiful view of the winter dry land while we were looking for a Christmas tree. I love this image.

I wandered off to play with different views. I sat down and enjoyed looking down the aisles of trees.
This is the focal point further down the aisle.

This is a focal point at the beginning of the aisle.

This is a round about view of the fields we were at. The snow started flaking from the sky.

Then as we were readying to leave the sun broke through the clouds, streaming down. It's hard to see in the picture, but it's there.

That was my fun in walking around while my guys cut down the tree. But, you'll see their work next week.
